Three-fourth of the WSHGs were holding weekly meetings and all were collecting a fixed thrift amount. Most of the members had borrowed loans for one or more times and had utilized it for purchasing of animals and treatment of sick family members. All the groups had passed the first grading and had received revolving fund for rotation among members to meet small credit requirements. Half of the WSHGs had selected pig rearing, one-third goat rearing and remaining 16.67 per cent had selected cattle rearing as Income Generating Activity (IGA).
