He graduated in year 2006 from Veterinary College, Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University (SDAU), Sardarkrushinagar (B.K.), Gujarat and he did his master degree in 2008 and Ph.D. in 2019 in the subject of Animal Genetics and Breeding from AAU, Anand, Gujarat. Dr Ashish Patel actively involved in Undergraduate and Postgraduate teaching. He also involved in several departmental research projects on “Breed characterization using microsatellite markers”, “A1A2 genotyping in cattle and buffalo”, “Genetic disease testing in cattle and buffalo”. He is also involved in post graduate student’s research data analysis and bioinformatics analysis. He was involved in characterization and registration of three new breeds viz. Duma (Panchali) sheep, Kahmi goat and Halari donkey. Dr Ashish Patel’s professional interests are in the area of Breeding, Molecular Genetics, Bioinformatics and Statistical analysis of research data.Dr. Ashish Patel has published > 10 research papers in International Journals, > 15 in National Journals, 30 research abstracts in seminar/symposium, 13 popular articles and 2 book chapters.
