Dr. Avneesh Kumar

Dr. Avneesh Kumar, is an assistant professor of Animal Genetics and Breeding at Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, Deen Dayal Upadhyay Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (DUVASU), Mathura, UP, India. Dr Kumar received his master of veterinary science degree in Animal Genetics and Breeding at the Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Izatnagar, India. Dr Kumar was associated as research fellow at ICAR- National Institute of High Security Animal Diseases (NIHSAD), Bhopal, a premier institute of India for research on exotic and emerging pathogens of animals, where he worked on Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza Virus-Host Interaction studies. In addition to research, Dr Kumar is actively involved in Undergraduate and postgraduate teaching to veterinary science students in the DUVASU Mathura. He also provides consultation to master and doctoral students within the Campus of the University on research design and data analysis. Dr Kumar’s professional interests are in the area of Virology, Immunology, Genetics, Molecular biology, Bioinformatics, and whole genome data analysis.
