Dr. M. Arthanari Eswaran has 21 years career dedicated to research, education, extension and administration. He started his professional education in 1992 from Madras Veterinary College, TANUVAS. He got TANUVAS Merit Scholarship for pursuing his M.V.Sc., studies and completed his M.V.Sc., degree from Veterinary College and Research Institute, Namakkal, Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University in the year 2000. He served as Manager- Quality Control for M/s. Hester Biosciences Limited, Ahmadabad, Gujarat (Vaccine manufacturing, Quality control and Assurance) from 2002 to 2005. Then he had joined as Assistant Professor in one of the most reputed veterinary university in India, Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University during the year 2005. He completed his Ph.D., at Veterinary College and Research Institute, Namakkal, TANUVAS in the year 2014. He had done his extensive research work on Avian Infectious bronchitis virus in chickens and Swollen Head Syndrome in Chickens – a Metapneumovirus infection in chickens during his M.V.Sc., and Ph.D., program respectively. He has special interest on avian virology and vaccinology.
He worked in Bioinformatics Centre, Madras Veterinary College, TANUVAS from 2005 to 2006 and involved in retrieval of on line and offline research articles and abstracts for post graduate research. Then he joined in Veterinary College and Research Institute, Namakkal in 2007. He involved in UG, PG and Ph.D., teaching, microbial analysis of feed, water and clinical specimens of various livestock and poultry, screening of clinical samples, field samples and experimental trials and diagnosis of various samples from 2007 to till date. He is instrumental in developing UG, PG and Ph.D., teaching and practical manuals. His innovative research has brought about more than 20 publications in reputed journals. In addition, he has contributed 25 popular articles, 6 book chapters and 11 conference proceedings. Besides he has been the editor of different training manuals, compendium and souvenir. He has handled a TNSC&ST projects on evaluation of therapeutic efficacy autogenous wart vaccines.
He has been serving as member of the Editorial Board of the international journal of livestock research and has worked as reviewer for national journals such as Journal of applied biology and biotechnology. He has attended and presented research papers in various national and international conferences. Dr. M. Arthanari Eswaran has been bestowed with more than five awards/recognition of different national professional societies.
He acted as advisory committee member for 6 M.V.Sc., students. He has delivered several lectures in the refresher courses for Veterinary Assistant Surgeons, Livestock inspectors and Laboratory technicians. He acted as co-organizing secretary for ISVIB conference.
He has been external examiner and question paper setter for UG and PG of various colleges and universities such as IVRI, CARI- Izatnagar, KVASU – Kerala, RIVER – Pondicherry, KVAFSU – Bidar, Karnataka, NTRCVSU – Andhra Pradesh and TANUVAS – Chennai. He also worked in various committees of national and international seminars and symposium. He also gives training / handling classes to the externship students from Bangaladesh from 2012 onwards. In addition, she had special assignment like NCC officer, Deputy Warden, All India study tour officer, Student ward counselor, Local Chapter Secretary in TANUVAS teacher association.
He worked as Head of the Veterinary University Training and Research Centre, Tirupur and conducted many NABARD sponsored schemes and on and off campus trainings for the benefit of farming community for the upliftment.
