Dr. Rahul Katiyar

Scientist, ICAR Research Complex for North Eastern Hill Region, Umiam, Meghalaya INDIA

He is currently working as a Scientist (ARS) in Livestock Production Division of ICAR RC-NEH Region Meghalaya. He completed his graduation (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) from CSKHPKV, Palampur, Himachal Pradesh in 2010 and MVSc (Veterinary Gynaecology & Obstetrics) from G. B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar, Uttarakhand in 2012. He was awarded with ICAR-JRF to persue post graduation. He also worked as teaching personnel in the same University for 1.5 Years. Dr Rahul joined the PhD at IVRI in 2015 in the Divison of Animal Reproduction. During PhD, he was awarded with ICAR-SRF. He was selected against the single post of ARS in the discipline of Animal Reproduction & Gynaecology through ASRB. He has been posted at ICAR RC-NEH, Umiam, Meghalaya since October, 2017. His research expertise is on amelioration of ROS mediated sperm damages during cryopreservation in the buffalo and cross-bred bulls. He has published several research papers, case reports, and popular articles in the Journal of national and international repute. He is a life member of Indian Society for Study of Animal Reproduction (ISSAR) and Indian Association of Hill Farming and member of Editorial Board of Journals like Indian Journal of Hill Farming and Animal and Veterinary Sciences.
