Presently he is working as an Associate Professor and Head at Department of Livestock Product Technology, Veterinary College, Hebbal, Bangalore. He has published more that 50 research articles in peer reviewed national and International Journals and has authored 6 book chapters in International books. He has three extramural funded research projects to a tune of 1.65 crores. His present area of research work is on Antimicrobial resistant pathogens in meat value and production chain. He is also working on various aspects of effect of climate change on meat quality characteristics of small ruminants and poultry in Karnataka. He is a life member of several professional association related to meat and food science. He has attended many national and international seminars, symposium and refresher training courses. He is actively involved in teaching, research and extension activities of the Department.
