He did his graduation (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) from Nagpur Veterinary College, Nagpur, Maharashtra, Post graduation (M.V.Sc in Poultry Science) and doctorate (PhD in Poultry Science) from Deemed University, Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), Izatnagar, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, India. He is engaged in teaching of postgraduate and doctorate students of Poultry Science discipline and has guided three PhD and five M.V.Sc. students as major guide. He has worked in Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agriculture Sciences and Technology (SKUAST), Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir, India as Assistant Professor cum Jr. Scientist during 2003 to 2008 before joining MAFSU, Nagpur. Apart from this, his almost more than 15 years career dedicated to poultry science education and extension work through trainings to farmers. He has imparted practical oriented training on commercial poultry farming to more than 1000 farmers including 200 women participants. He has published more than 50 research papers of National and international repute, 60 popular articles and 40 Research Abstracts in different Seminars/ symposiums/ conferences. He has organized about 30 trainings/ workshops/seminars and also participated in more than 40 National and International Trainings/ Seminars/ Conferences/ Symposiums/ Workshops and presented lead papers, research papers and posters. He is affiliated with Maharashtra State Veterinary Council, Animal Nutrition Association of India and Indian Poultry Science Association as a Life Member. He has been awarded with prestigious Ayurvet Research Award of Indian Poultry Science Association for excellence in research in the area of poultry science in 2001 and best research article award by Intas Polivet in 2007.
