Scientist, ICAR-National Research Centre on Mithun, Medziphema, Dimapur, Nagaland
He is currently working as a Scientist (ARS) in Animal Health Section of ICAR-NRC on Mithun, Medziphema, Dimapur, Nagaland, India since 2018. In addition, he is in-charge of Hindi Cell of the institute.
He secured Rank-1 in ARS-2016 in Veterinary Medicine in merit 01/01. Also, he obtained highest cut-off marks in ARS-2016 among 31 disciplines.
He is a graduate (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) of College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, G. B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar, Uttarakhand. He has completed both M.V.Sc. and Ph.D. in Veterinary Medicine from ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute (ICAR-IVRI), Izatnagar, Bareilly, UP.
His research expertise is on farm animal medicine and Ethno-veterinary medicine. Currently, he is dedicated to research for conservation and improvement of Mithun (Bos frontalis), the state animal of Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh. He is handling various research projects on sub-clinical metabolic diseases, phyto-formulation for leech infestation and FMD in Mithun.
Earlier, he stood 1st in Venky’s All India Veterinary Colleges Professional Quiz Competition, 2013. He has won many certificates/cash prizes in Hindi writing competitions, poster presentation in conferences and youth festivals.
