A study was conducted to determine the reference ranges of electrocardiographic parameters in New Zealand white pet rabbits in Andhra Pradesh of India. Thirty two rabbits aged between 8 to 24 months belongs to the both the sexes were used for this study. Mean rectal temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate and arterial blood pressure 102.38 ± 0.15°F, 209.166 ± 3.21beats per minute, 48.30 ± 1.90 21beats per minute and 118 ± 8.65/ 77 ± 7.2 mm Hg respectively. Recorded ‘P’ wave, ‘QRS’ complex and ‘T’ wave amplitudes range from 0.05 to 0.10 mV, 0.15 to 0.30 mV and 0.10 to 0.20 mV respectively in all the rabbits. Duration of ‘P’ wave, ‘QRS’ complex and ‘T’ wave was between 0.02 to 0.04, 0.02 to 0.06 and 0.07 to 0.08 seconds respectively in all the rabbits. ‘P-R’ interval was between 0.04 to 0.08 seconds and ‘Q-T’ interval was between 0.08 to 0.12 seconds in all the rabbits. Mean cardiac electrical axis recorded in rabbits was between - 30° to + 130°. There is no gender difference effect on electrocardiographic parameters in rabbits.
